Proteach Workshop Seminar in Salzburg- February 2019

The Proteach partners enjoyed a five day workshop in the University of Saltzburg organized and led by Prof' Jean-Luc Patry & Lydia Linortner.

The workshop enabled the participants to learn more about VaKE (Values and Knowledge Education) through implementing the theory within the different sessions of the workshops. 

The guest speakers of the workshop were: Sieglinde Weyringer, Angela Gastager, Sabine Harter, Daniela Martinek, Alfred Weinberger.

Proteach International Workshop- November 2018 at Kaye College

The work shop was held at Kaye College located in the Israeli southern city of Beer Sheva. Dr. Haya Kaplan and her team arranged a fabulous and rich week of lectures, workshops, updates, discussions, tours and also entertainment! 

Prof’ Johnmarshal Reeve from Korea University, Seoul was invited as the workshop’s guest of honor.  Prof. Reeve conducted a two day workshop discussing several topics such as autonomy support & motivating students, autonomy-supportive MINDSET and more.

Yaarit Uzan & Yarden Buskila, 3rd Year Students of the Special Education Program at Kaye College wrote about the international seminar of the PROTEACH in Exeter:

Documentation of an event: Pedagogical Café, Kindergarten MIT, Holon

On the 6/5/2018 a meeting using the methodology of "pedagogical café" was held in the kindergarten MIT of Holon.

The event was organized by Holon MIT team headed by Dr. Efrat Mor with the aim of surprising the novice kindergarten teachers and to give them an experience.

On 7/5/18 a Conference of the Proteach Project was Held at Gordon Academic College of Education

In the 1st part of the conference, the MITs' instructor, Dr. Liron Onn, conducted a session about the MITs and concluded whatever has happened in the MITs this year, through the game Ropes and Ladders. The teachers from both MITs got to know each other through the game and related to challenging events that have happened throughout the year and happy events, strengthening ones that happened to the new teachers this year. The players in the game were the new teachers and their mentors. It was a huge success!!!

Porteach Visit to Exeter March 2018- 2nd Week

All the Proteach partens took part in the 2nd study week in the University of Exeter between the 18 and the 23rd of March 2018. The meeting took place at the graduate school of education. st. Luke's campus and included meetings and lectures with Begining teachers in their induction period, mentors and lecturers.

Proteach Visit to Exeter March 2018- 1st Week

The 1st week of the visit to Exeter had just ended, followed by a stormy weather and a lot of snow that covered the city of Exeter. 

The participant enjoyed an intensive study week, tours, lectures and conducting directed tasks in schools. 

The main topics of the week were: 

Designing the Dream of Teaching Together at the Laqiya Incubator

Laqiya Incubator for beginner teachers designs the dream of teaching together; interns, beginner teachers and mentors working in full harmony for designing and fulfilling this dream. They discussed the future of the beginner teachers from the personal and the professional aspects as well as their future as teachers and as a community of beginner teachers. 

Meeting of the Steering Committee of the Southern District at the Kaye College

The meeting of the steering committee of the southern district was held on February 25, 2018 at the Kaye College. The participants were school principals, educational coordinators for beginner teachers, supervisors of professional development, schools supervisors, the director of the Pisgha project in Rahat, the head of the Kaye College, the staff of the induction unit and representatives of the evaluation department. 

The Teaching Induction Conference

On the 8th of February, 2018 the Ministry of Education, represented by Dr. Sara Zilbirshtum- the head of the induction program in the state of Israel, organized a conference in the topic of the Induction period in the Israeli system of education that was held in the Kibbutzim College of Education.
